Conversational skills and increased confidence are the goals as we attend classes at both Flamingo Beach and in Monteverde. Forget your typical Spanish class! Small classes of 4 participants are led by fun local instructors who help participants improve fluency in an authentic environment. Conversations are enhanced with culture, cooking, field trips and games. During the night, we stay with local host families to practice Spanish, eat home-cooked meals and get a firsthand taste of Costa Rican culture. We wrap up our amazing journey by saying "Pura Vida" to the pristine beaches and our wonderful host families of Bold Earth's Spanish immersion camp!
Our summer immersion program visits Monteverde Cloud Forest, perched high in the clouds amongst one of the most amazing wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Keep your eyes open for hummingbirds, toucans, sloths and monkeys. On our way from the jungle to the beach, we stop for our community service project with the Costa Rican Humanitarian Foundation. Partnering with local schools, we practice our Spanish while helping to build a new playground. Next, we travel to the Pacific Coast where we surf, sail and soak up the sun and white sand of our new home: Flamingo Beach!
