I am a high school Spanish teacher, and a basketball and tennis coach. I am certified in Wilderness Advanced First Aid. I have worked for four years at the American Youth Foundation in Michigan. There I was a camp counselor, and also led out-camp trips. And I have worked one summer at BOLD EARTH.
What BOLD EARTH means to me?: Working for BOLD EARTH is quite possibly the best summer job ever! I love working with teenagers. I spend my whole year with them and enjoy the energy they give me. It Is amazing to watch the way the youth can grow in one summer and I love being a part of it.
Favorite Quote: "The young do not know enough to be prudent, and therefore they attempt the impossible, and achieve it, generation after generation." - Pearl S. Buck
What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: Teaching and coaching take up most of my time. I also love doing triathlons, yoga, surfing, playing basketball, reading, dancing in my kitchen, hanging out with my brothers and friends, and taking trips to escape Chicago's winters.
Education: Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education from Millikin University.
