Ally Raber

I have been lucky to work as an educator since graduating from college in '06. I am a full time teacher, and currently developing a drama program at a small school in Southern California. I have a blast directing plays, coaching the improv comedy team and leading week-long school expeditions to places like Yosemite! BOLD EARTH fits right into my schedule since I have summers free to explore, play and expand my leadership skills.

What BOLD EARTH means to me?: BOLD EARTH has given me the opportunity to interact with teenagers in an atmosphere and dynamic that is different from the day-to-day grind of school. Summer is my favorite time of year because - if you take full advantage of all that it offers - it can feel like a separate lifetime! BOLD EARTH gives both teens and leaders the chance to make a family out of new friends, to travel and encounter new cultures, to be silly and laugh and create an awesome experience that no one can touch! I am all about summer, all about visiting earth, and all about connecting with new people.

Favorite Quote: "God doesn't give you the people you want, He gives you the people you NEED - To help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and to make you into the person you were meant to be." - Unknown

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: I'm a teacher - so I'm usually doing that! But when I'm not on the job I am usually in the surf, running or dancing. I love to check out new plays, go to concerts, read, work on my screenplays and just hang out with friends.
