Ben joins the Bold Earth team from upstate New York, where he has been working closely with youth for over a decade. His first leadership positions involved teaching at a climbing gym and certifying Boy Scouts earning their merit badges. Since, Ben has worked at a summer camp as a head counselor and team-building instructor. He currently works with inner-city middle and high school students as a math tutor. Ben holds certifications in Wilderness First Responder and adult CPR and is thrilled to be spening the summer of 2011 with Bold Earth!
What BOLD EARTH means to me?: Bold Earth provides a wonderful opportunity to challenge myself and others to step out of their comfort zone, whether with a small step or a giant leap.

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: I'm currently finishing my degree at RIT, working with inner-city youth in Rochester, and teaching a few sections of a rock climbing class at RIT. In my spare time, I love riding my bike around the city. During the small window of time when it's not snowing in New York, I like to take weekend trips down to New Paltz for climbing excursions, or head down to the Finger Lakes trails for a few days of backpacking.
