Billy Foure

Billy was born and raised in Zambia, where his love and passion for the Africa bush and her people found its roots. Billy's forefathers arrived in the Cape in 1688 and the family has been in Africa ever since. Outside of Bold Earth, Billy has also travelled the world extensively and spent time abroad teaching English in Europe. He dedicates four weeks of each year to traveling around the world counseling troubled teens in different countries such as Brazil, Philippine Islands, Africa, USA.

What BOLD EARTH means to me?: I have been working with Bold Earth in Africa since 2002, and have found great pleasure in working with Bold Earth's motivated, adventurous students and leaders. Africa is like no place on Earth, and I am proud to introduce students from around the world to this unique and incredible land.

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: Outside of Bold Earth, Billy has pioneered many youth travel concepts in Africa, and has introduced some of the first wildlife and community volunteer programs in Africa in the early 2000s, many of which are still functioning effectively today. He assisted building wildlife research camps in Kenya, Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe & South Africa. Billy and his wife Aileen have personally led more than 40,000 students around Africa over a period of 30 years.
