As a high school Spanish teacher, I am always leading, facilitating, and inspiring. Everyday, my goal is to provide a positive role model for students in my school. Outside of MHS, I serve as an advisor for two clubs in my school. Together with my students, we plan charitable after school events to benefit non profit organizations. Also, I lead and organize trips to Costa Rica every year for students at my school to promote cross cultural experiences and highlight the importance of learning a second language. In the past, I have been a sailing instructor, canoe/kayak coach, and camp counselor.
What BOLD EARTH means to me?: BOLD EARTH is the ultimate extracurricular learning experience that exists for young people. BOLD EARTH allows students to experience exhilarating activities, cross-cultural opportunities and personal growth simultaneously. As an educator, I view BOLD EARTH as an integral part of the development of any young adult.

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: Never a dull moment. Inside, I love to read and make movies on my computer of my last trip, At Massapequa High School, I dedicate my time to help my students be the best they can be. THEN THE GREAT STUFF - snowboard, surf, hike, mountain bike, bicycle around town, jog, fish ... I just love to be outside.
