Forest Hoff

Since 2004, the University of Northern Iowa has provided me with groups to take on wilderness trips. I have also been a leader for Camp Adventure, and Cheley Colorado Camps, sharing adventure with youth around the globe. Sometimes I teach people to be lifeguards for the red-cross. BOLD EARTH has provided me with four trips to guide in Hawaii.

What BOLD EARTH means to me?: Like a good picture, one needs a whole box of crayons to live the rich life. Good people, good places, good things to do, good food to eat, all of these paint the canvas that becomes a summer with BOLD EARTH.

Favorite Quote: ...and all that the Lorax left here in this mess, was a small pile of rocks with one word. UNLESS - Dr. Seuss

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: Like Chaplin, I am a tramp, a gentleman, a poet, a dreamer, a lonely fellow, always hopeful of romance and adventure. I've been trying to capture the splendors of the universe using a Nikon, I think my journal does a better stab. Writing from Carroll, Thoreau, Silverstein, and Handy fill my better slab. I seem to be everywhere and nowhere all the time, letting the funishment fit the climb.
