Although Holly now lives in New York City where she is working on a collection of poetry and shorts stories and is attending Brooklyn College, she considers Colorado and Wyoming to be her home. She has spent most of her adult life as a backcountry skier and instructor, exploring the Tetons and other surrounding mountains on ski, foot, kayak, mountain bike, and hot air balloon. (Okay maybe not so much hot air balloon). Holly has a keen eye for fun and fancy and a deep appreciation and respect for the outdoors. Holly is thrilled to be working for Bold Earth and can't wait to lead Espana Adventure and Ultimate Alps this summer!
What BOLD EARTH means to me?: I see myself as teacher and student at all times. Bold Earth gives me a chance to share the breadth of my knowledge as an outdoor leader and my myriad of experiences while simultaneously giving me a chance to learn from other leaders, new surroundings, and my participants. I have always enjoyed sharing my passions and expanding them.
Favorite Quote: "As the arrow endures the string and in gathering becomes more than itself. Because to stay is to be nowhere." -Rainer Maria Rilke
What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: I am traveling, writing, playing scrabble or air guitar, doing improv, hiking, biking, skiing, sitting quietly, eating or cooking something delicious, trying to figure out a rubix cube or the meaning of life, shearing sheep, or changing a bike tire.
