Jennifer Aedy

Jennifer is imbued with a life-long sense of adventure that's followed her since early childhood, when family road trips across Canada stretched her imagination and stoked a love of travel. In high school, Jen was a member of her school’s power cheerleading team, with which she competed internationally in Tennessee, Florida and British Columbia. She also captained her college's varsity rugby team, with which she traveled as far away to as Barbadoes for matches. Jen's travels sparked her hunger for exploration and led her to Bold Earth! Prior to joining the company, Jen worked as a summer camp counselor and supervised counselors-in-training aged 13-16. She also has experience with working special-needs children, which she believes has helped shape her into a more patient, caring and responsible leader. Jen loves connecting with her campers on a one-on-one basis and cannot wait to bring her rich experience to Bike-Amsterdam Paris this summer!

What BOLD EARTH means to me?: Bold Earth gives participants a chance to meet friends from across the world, travel the globe, challenge themselves and enjoy experiences which will forever alter their lives. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be a strong role model and open new doors to all my participants!

Favorite Quote: "If in our daily life we can smile, if we can be peaceful and happy, not only we, but everyone will profit from it. This is the most basic kind of peace work." - Thich Nhat Hanh

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: I enjoy the little things in life, like sending snail-mail to my friends and cooking for and sharing meals with people close to me. These gestures seem small but are so meaningful, and also help me to learn more about the people who matter to me. I am currently studying Fine Arts at Concordia (Montreal) where I am learning about, working with and creating my own styles in different mediums such as painting, drawing and printing. While not studying, I've enjoyed familiarizing myself with the best places to eat, live and play in Montreal.

Education: Concordia University, B.A. in Fine Arts, Studio Art & Art History
