Jen is a professional white-water river guide and has extensive experience guiding class-four river trips in North Carolina and Tennessee. She was a member of a trail crew for the Southwest Conservation Corps, and is well-versed in trail construction and maintenance, rockwork and habitat improvement. She has been a trip leader for Mountain Adventure Guides, guiding teenagers through the Pisgah National Forest on extended backpacking, white-water rafting, caving and rock-climbing trips. Jen is also a certified Wilderness First Responder. Following her passion for traveling and photography, she recently launched her professional career by starting her own freelance photography business. Her high energy, positive mindset and enthusiasm for life is infectious, making every adventure shared with Jen a memorable one.
What BOLD EARTH means to me?: There is nothing I am more passionate about than guiding trips that provide young adults with life-changing experiences. It has been my dream to work for an outdoor adventure company ever since I took a similar trip when I was 16, and it is so fulfilling to have the opportunity to lead with Bold Earth. There is nothing that can trump the vast amount of knowledge and understanding to be gained from immersion in other cultures, and few other environments that foster the kind of relationships created at Bold Earth. I feel absolutely honored to guide for Bold Earth: the enthusiasm and endless joy plastered to my face is unmistakable!

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: I am more often than not traveling. I work seasonally in different locations. If I am not doing photography or playing music, I am working on a trail crew, guiding river trips, skiing, boarding, biking, climbing, camping, or laughing and spending time with the people that I love.
Education: Valencia Community College, A.A. in General Studies and pursuing a degree in Music Performance and Sound Technology.
