You could say that Jonathon was born to travel. Born in Cheshire, England and brought up in Ontario, Canada, he has always found true comfort on the road and on the trails. Jonathon is a photographer and journalist by trade, documenting the sights, the architecture and the people of various cultures and locales. He also manages to play ice hockey and cross-country mountain bike in his spare time. Jonathon is in his final year of studies at university for History, which he maintains is essential in knowing and understanding the various countries that he travels to. This is Jonathon's third year as a Venture Europe trip-leader, and one he reckons will be the greatest year yet!
What BOLD EARTH means to me?: Bold Earth enables me to share my passion of travel with youth. Along with my other leaders, I hope to instill a thirst for adventure into these young adults to help "carry on the torch" for a new generation of thrill-seekers.

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: You can find me taking photos of everything and anything, playing hockey with my friends, watching Jeopardy, strumming the guitar on my porch, and most importantly... planning my next trip!
