Kathryn's childhood was a whirlwind of travel and exploration that helped shape her into the avid adventurer that she is today. She was born in Los Angeles, spent time living in the tropical paradise of Southeast Asia, and calls Houston, Texas, her hometown. While studying at Colorado State Univeristy in Fort Collins, she continued her globetrotting ways by hiking the Rocky Mountains, backpacking the Adirondacks and diving the Phillippines. When it comes to the outdoors, travel and leadership, Kathryn's enthusiasm is boundless, as is her excitement for the people and places around her.

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: I've got ants in my pants! When I am not enjoying some quality family time, I am dancing down the road, up a mountain, or down a river. I never travel without a book! When I'm not on the move, I am studying hard to go to medical school.
