I work as a high school English teacher in downtown Cincinnati. I love the opportunity to lead groups of teenagers in their study of literature and writing every day. Since the school I work for is small, I have formed wonderful relationships with many of my students. I think of myself as their part-time advisor in addition to English teacher. Prior to that, I worked as a camp counselor in Ohio and Maine whenever I got the chance to do it. My passion lies in experiencing the outdoors with new people!

What BOLD EARTH means to me?: The opportunity to combine so many of my goals - working with teens, traveling, and being outside - is a dream come true. It is wonderful to get to travel in my non-teaching months and have a change of scenery! !

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: Teaching English! I'm planning lessons and grading papers. I spend a lot of time getting to know Cincinnati and meeting new people in the area. I also enjoy the pursuit of free time to get outside more. In any down time, I catch up on my favorite authors: Jane Austen, Sherman Alexie, Neil Gaiman, and Shakespeare.
