Kristin grew up on the beaches of Florida, but moved to Colorado last summer where she now teaches outdoor education for Denver Public Schools. Kristin started leading trips in the outdoors in college when she co- founded a student adventure club and led trips for undergrad and grad students in the swamps of northern Florida, in the caves of Tennessee and along the Appalachian trail. She spent her summers in Colorado teaching kids how to ride horses at a dude ranch, leading 14er climbs, backpacking trips and getting certified as a wilderness first responder and lifeguard. Kristin has worked with Bold Earth for two amazing summers all across the western United States and cannot wait to come back again and again!
What BOLD EARTH means to me?: Bold Earth means a summer of laughs, friendships, challenges and amazing adventures. It is an incredible program that encourages a passion for life and a love of adventure while challenging students to leave their comfort zone and become incredible leaders.

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: Usually I am teaching about trees or the stars or taking city kids on their first hike in the mountains or belying fifth graders on a high ropes course. If I am not doing that than I am skiing, hiking, backpacking, trying to play my banjo, scuba diving, eating candy or finding something awesome to do.
