I worked as a camp counselor at Camp Chief Ouray, YMCA of the Rockies, and am entering my second year leading trips with BOLD EARTH. I was a Resident Advisor at CU Boulder, captain of the CU Boulder's Women's Ultimate Frisbee team , and I have worked extensively with after-school programs for high-school students. I have lived abroad both in Vina del Mar, Chile, and Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, in addition to traveling and exploring the natural wonders of this world in Guatemala, Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, Costa Rica, Mexico, Belize, and Trinidad and Tobago. Much of my outdoor experience in the past comes from annual canoe trips in the Quetico Provincial Park in Canada since 1995 with family and friends, as well as backpacking, camping, and climbing in Utah, Montana, and California.
What BOLD EARTH means to me: BOLD EARTH is my dream job! I work with other amazing, genuine, inspiring trip leaders - and I get to spend the best part of the year with teenagers who are daring, spontaneous, and who love to learn and experience life at its fullest! With BOLD EARTH I am part of a new family each trip. Every group creates a unique community that evolves, learns, laughs, and has unforgettable friendships - in the most beautiful places in the world. I love BOLD EARTH, and I can't wait for another summer full of fantastic adventures!

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: Currently ... studying and playing capoeira in Brazil, playing berimbau (key instrument for capoeira), eating delicious feijao (Brazil's better-than-beans), arroz, and farofa (toasted manioc flour), and dancing samba and forro! Otherwise, I love playing ultimate Frisbee, biking, hiking, camping, canoeing, running, playing soccer, teaching kids, learning languages, painting, snowboarding, reading, and coming up with new adventures and granola recipes.
