Sheila Lee

Sheila was born and raised in San Diego, but currently lives on the North Shore of Oahu where she works as a middle school teacher and ocean kayak guide. This is her fifth summer working for Bold Earth, and Sheila is excited to build on her strong leadership resume, which already includes trips in Costa Rica, California, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona and Utah. Sheila has an extensive background working with youth and outdoor education from years of being a camp counselor, tutor, sports coach, teacher, surf instructor and zipline guide. Sheila is brimming with energy, inspiration and motivation that she can't wait to share with a group of teenagers on her trip. She can't wait to lead Fiji Dive Service in summer 2012!

What BOLD EARTH means to me?: Bold Earth always delivers an amazing adventure full of incredible memories and life-changing experiences. Every employee at Bold Earth shares my passion for working with youth, passing on my knowledge of the outdoors and exploring the natural world. I am truly fortunate to be surrounded by such an inspiring team while shaping the lives of the amazing teens we dedicate our summers to. I can't help but smile when I think about my time with Bold Earth, and am so gratfeul to be part of such a rewarding endeavor.

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: In my free time, you'll find me cruising around the North Shore of Oahu, surfing, free-diving, rock climbing, practicing yoga, hanging in the hammock, banging on my bongo drum, cooking delicious food and laughing with friends and family as much as possible. Life is pretty good!
