Taylor's passion for the wilderness started under the snowcapped mountains of Utah and the soaring cliffs of the Rockies. He's a highly energetic outdoorsman, mountain biker, hiker, rock climber, and loves to pass his experience and enthusiasm onto his students. He lived in the British Isles for two years, trekked across the Welsh countryside and explored a plethora of medieval castle ruins. His travel experience is extensive, including stops in Fiji, Europe and South America. His certifications include CPR, Lifeguarding and Wilderness First Responder. Taylor has led the Bold West, Boot Saddle Paddle, Rock and Roll, Colorado Discovery and Ultimate Hawaii trips for Bold Earth over the past three years, and can't wait to bring his vast knowledge and positive attitude to our Ecuador Galapagos trip this summer! Enthusiastic and optimistic, Taylor sums up his mantra concisely: "It's hard not to explore so much of the world when you believe you'll find good people wherever you go." Taylor's campers refer to him as the ultimate leader: knowledgeable, safe and an absolute blast!
What BOLD EARTH means to me?: Bold Earth means the summer will always be exciting, marked by growth and filled with laughter. It doesn't matter where in the world I go: Give me 13 kids, four weeks and the support of Bold Earth, and we will all have the summer of a lifetime.

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: Taylor is an endurance athlete. If it's long distance, highly aerobic, off-road or on-road, he's in it for the long haul. He is currently training for the 2011 Tempe, Arizona Iron Man competition. Taylor graduated from the University of Utah in December 2010. He currently is working for an online marketing firm. He just planted his first garden and plans on upgrading his scuba diving certificate to become an advanced PADI diver this summer!
