Tom is from the UK, but has spent much of the past 6 years of his life abroad adventuring, climbing, trekking, paddling, skiing and generally exploring, most recently on a winter skiing expedition through the French Alps. He has worked as a climbing guide in New Zealand, kayaking guide in Canada and as an outdoor instructor and educator in New Zealand and Australia. His passion for adventure and travel have given him the opportunity to experience places including the Alps, Canada, Norway, Nepal and Oceania. It is these experiences which have shaped and defined his life and he hopes that by leading Bike Amsterdam Paris, he is able to pass his zest for travel and adventure along to his students.
What BOLD EARTH means to me?: Bold Earth gives me the opportunity to travel and explore, and to share these experiences with my students. It is extremely gratifying to watch them grow and discover parts of the world and themselves they never knew about, and to challenge themselves in ways they may never have dreamt of.

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: I have been living in France, learning French and skiing, and will be starting my teacher training in the UK this year. In my spare time I love to explore and go on adventures in the mountains on foot, by bike or ski, and to experience these beautiful wilderness places with my friends, or perhaps Tess, my 6-year-old Collie dog and faithful companion!
