Trenton Hatch

Trenton's outdoor experience stretches back to his childhood days. On family trips through the Northwest and other adventures through the Rockies in Idaho, Trenton was able to spend a considerable chunk of his formative years exploring the Sawtooth Mountains and Snake River Valley. While attending Northern Michigan University, Trenton was a resident advisor in charge of supervising 40-plus freshman and sophomore students. While serving as the main resource for a bevy of underclassmen, Trenton enjoyed being the go-to-guy for any question, where related to college or life in general. He also enjoyed coordinating countless recreational and academic activities, such as camping trips, beach runs and bonfires, with his students. This summer, Trenton is thrilled to bring his backcountry knowledge and leadership experience to the Bold Earth team!

What BOLD EARTH means to me?: I love working with youth and people who are excited about life. Finding out what inspires people and what they want to do is important to me. It never ceases to amaze me what people are capable of when they have the drive and spirit to achieve. Bold Earth is the perfect opportunity to discover what the world has to offer and experience the joy and simplicity of accomplishing something new. I am very excited for summer 2011 and can't wait to spend two months with my amazing participants and co-leaders.

What I do when I'm not at BOLD EARTH: I live life to the fullest, whether taking small sips by sitting back and relaxing or huge gulps by emarking on an extended adventure. I love everything about the wilderness from the rugged beauty and peaceful calm, to camp fires, sleeping bags, and even having to bathe in rivers or lakes. I look for opportunities to smile and make others laugh as often as possible. I like to be busy so I'm always coming up with new things to do and different excuses to hang out with friends.
