Before the Trip
Prepare for Your Bold Adventure
Please make sure all of your pre-trip paperwork is completed using your CampInTouch account. Navigate to the “Forms and Documents” section after logging in to find waivers, agreements, packing lists, travel information, and your parent manual.
Packing Tips
Every trip has a destination-specific packing list, but remember: you’ll carry your own bags, so keep it manageable. Bring one large duffel bag as checked luggage and one school-size backpack for carry-on. Pack essentials like ID/passport, phone and charger, medications, and change of clothes in your carry-on.
Travel Protection
We recommend purchasing travel protection to cover unforeseen circumstances. We offer a Standard Plan and a Standard Plan plus Cancel-For-Any-Reason. Visit your CampInTouch account under “Forms and Documents” to select and purchase a plan.

Flying to Bold Earth
Review our packing tips for carry-on guidelines. Dress comfortably and wear your Bold Earth t-shirt for easy recognition. Arrive early to reduce stress. Check your trip’s specific travel guidelines for arrival and departure windows before booking flights.

During the Trip
Important Contact Information
Our leadership team is available 24/7 during trips. Use regular office hours (8:30-5:30 EDT) for non-emergencies, and after-hours numbers for time-sensitive situations like family emergencies or flight cancellations.
Trip Blogs
One week before your trip starts, we’ll email you a link to your student’s trip page where you can follow their journey with photo and text updates every couple of days.
Contact from Your Student
Your trip leader will have your child call home after arrival at their destination. Families should expect it could take up to an hour from landing to the time they can call home.

Access daily itineraries, important updates, and all trip-related documents through your CampInTouch account.
After the Trip
Summer Photos
We’ll email you a link to view all of your child’s trip photos in the month following their return home. Please be patient as we have over 25,000 photos to upload from a summer full of adventures!
Stay In Touch
Connect with other Bold Earth families and stay updated on future adventures through our alumni network.
Refer a Friend
Know someone who might enjoy Bold Earth? Fill out a referral form and we’ll send them information. Both families receive a $250 tuition discount when they enroll, with no limit on referrals. Families making 5+ referrals receive 50% off tuition (up to $3000).
