Julia Babjack

Trip leader

Julia, or “Babs,” grew up in upstate New York but moved to Pennsylvania to attend Albright College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and family studies. In New York, Babs facilitated rocks and ropes courses at Camp Seneca Lake, working with kids ages 6 to 16. She also worked as a fourth grade math teacher in Pennsylvania before heading to Vermont to become a preschool teacher at Turtle Island Children’s Center. Currently, Babs works at Deschutes Wilderness Therapy as a lead field instructor. She is a wilderness first responder, enjoys poetry, yoga, and journaling, and is joining Bold Earth for her first year as a trip leader.
