Lindy grew up in a small suburb outside Cleveland, OH, but relocated to the mountains of western North Carolina to pursue a bachelor’s degree in recreation management and studio art at Appalachian State University. While at school, Lindy dedicated her free time to learning a variety of outdoor skills like climbing, kayaking, snowboarding, and backpacking. After college, she traveled around the United States before landing back in the Blue Ridge Mountains where she worked as an instructor for the North Carolina Outward Bound School for two years. Currently, Lindy lives in Flagstaff, AZ, where she recently completed her master’s degree in educational psychology. A wilderness first responder and swiftwater rescue technician, Lindy is returning to Bold Earth for her third year as a trip leader.
