Originally pursuing a career in the art world, Ali earned her bachelor’s degree in Art History before spending four years teaching at an international school in China where she discovered her passion for education. Leaving the classroom to focus on global and experiential education, she worked at a global youth conference in D.C. and earned her Master’s in International Education before moving back abroad to Thailand where she partnered with schools around the world to design and deliver global programming and led outdoor adventure programs throughout Southeast Asia. She then moved to Australia where she launched and directed a Global Citizenship Center at a K-12 school, working to enhance their global education efforts through student programming, curriculum development, and teacher training. Knowing her own high school program abroad to China changed her life and career trajectory, Ali is passionate about partnering with schools to facilitate similar life-changing travel experiences for their students. In her free time, Ali can be found reading, bouldering, and enjoying the best of New York City’s parks, museums, and eats.
