Born and raised in Colorado, Emily grew up playing sports and exploring the Rocky Mountains. A passion for marine biology took her to the University of North Carolina Wilmington for her Bachelor’s degree and then to the University of New England in Maine for a Master’s in Marine Science opening up new spaces to explore and learn from. Emily’s experiences as a Peace Corps Education Volunteer in Mozambique, a two-time Program Leader on Thinking Beyond Borders’ Global Gap Year, and as a Marine Science Educator at the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON) have shaped the way she interacts with the world. She celebrated 6 years with ARCC in January 2025 and has loved all the new opportunities ARCC has provided!
