Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Greyson grew up snowboarding, biking, fishing, and getting lost in the woods. He has worked in states such as Montana, Colorado, Alaska, Hawaii, Minnesota, and California. In this time he has guided sea kayaking, whitewater rafting, ziplining, and ATV/snowmobiles. He has experience hiking some of the hardest terrain with some of his favorites being “Angels Landing” in Utah, “Half Dome” in California, and “Stairway To Heaven” in Hawaii. Greyson started guiding kids in Alaska helping run overnight sea kayaking trips on the Fjords. Navigating unpredictable weather, managing groups of up to 18, and keeping guests safe around wildlife like bears and orcas. He decided to take his career a step further and started in outdoor education in California. There he taught soft skills and day classes to children as young as 4th grade. In his personal time his adventures have also taken him to places like Iceland, Netherlands, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Canada.

What drew you to the Bold Earth community?

I found out about Bold Earth from a coworker, and it was apparent to me that the company had genuine care for its employees and students. I had worked in some crazy places doing some cool things and I was ready to help teach these skills to our new generation. With my care and respect for the outdoors I wanted to share this passion with our youth and help teach them that nature is so much more fun than being inside playing on electronics.

 

What is your Bold earth superpower?

My superpower is for sure my “do it all” spirit. I always have energy to do more. Whether it’s to go see some local shops, see a cool view, or grab a bite to eat somewhere I am always ready to go out and explore more.

 

What is your adventure must-have?

My travel must have is a carabiner clip. With a carabiner there is always more space available on the outside of a backpack. If you have a wet pair of sandals that need to hang dry on the outside of your pack, clip a water boddle to your backpack, or no longer have space for something because you bought a cool new item you can always clip something to the outside. Not only can it be used as a clip but you can use it as a handle for carrying. I am always finding new uses for my carabiners.

‘Peace Within’ by Reggae Tahiti – Who doesn’t like some chill reggae, It works for every vibe.
