Originally from Asheville, NC, Harper grew up among the Blue Ridge Mountains. She spent her childhood hiking, skiing, and canoeing all over Western North Carolina. She currently lives in Chapel Hill, NC where she is a rising senior at the University of North Carolina, pursuing a degree in Biology and Chemistry. In her free time, she plays on her college club soccer team, mentors other pre-health students, and enjoys exploring the mountains when she returns to Asheville. Some of Harper’s favorite outdoor adventures include paddling the Rio Pacuare in Costa Rica and hiking in Glacier National Park with her family.

Harper has found lifelong mentors through her Bold Earth leaders when she was a camper herself and is excited about sharing her enthusiasm and passion for the outdoors with others. Prior to working at Bold Earth, Harper spent time abroad in Italy and worked as a medical assistant in her hometown. Harper has been trained as a Wilderness First Responder and joins Bold Earth for her first season as a trip leader.
