Holly grew up in North Carolina and now calls Montana home, where she continues to build a life centered around outdoor adventure and education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management with a concentration in Outdoor Experiential Education from Appalachian State University. She has led a wide variety of trips, including backpacking, caving, and llama trekking, and has instructed both rock climbing and skiing. Before re-joining Bold Earth this spring, Holly worked as a Youth Program Coordinator with Montana Conservation Corps, where she developed her passion for mentoring young people through outdoor experiences.

Holly found Bold Earth in 2022 and immediately knew it was something special. “When I led my first Bold Earth trip, I knew that I was all in. Bold Earth has a special community, filled with folks that really care about the kids they work with, and I wanted to be a part of it.” Holly is a Wilderness First Responder and has taught Wilderness First Aid for NOLS. In her free time, you can find her running, knitting, playing with her dog Skye, or practicing aerial silks.
