Originally from northern California, Remi grew up hiking amongst redwood trees, hunting for wildflowers, and swimming in the Pacific Ocean. She received a bachelor’s degree from Seattle University in cultural anthropology. Remi has worked as a classroom teacher in northern California, interned with the international rescue committee teaching ESL to refugee students in Washington, and also worked as a backpacking guide in North Carolina.

She has led trips all over California, Hawaii, Colorado, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Remi is currently pursuing a masters degree in social work, and spends her days exploring western North Carolina, cooking elaborate meals and practicing yoga. Remi is certified in CPR and has been trained as a Wilderness First Responder.
