SURF & EXPLORE SYDNEY
We begin our Aussie adventure in Sydney, a bustling metropolis and cultural capital of Australia. From our phenomenal lodging in the “Rocks” district of Sydney, we are welcomed to Australia by Sydney’s sights and stunning views! We begin the Australia’s Best trip with a walking tour of the Sydney Harbor. Together, we explore the landmarks and sites of Sydney including the iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge. Next, we visit Australia’s iconic Taronga Zoo, home to the best animals in Australia. On our last day in Sydney take the famous Manly Ferry by the Harbour Bridge and to the iconic Manly Beach where we spend the day surfing and enjoy a beach barbecue!
ABORIGINAL CULTURE, HELP SAVE THE REEF, AND EXPLORE THE OUTBACK
Saying goodbye to Sydney, the group heads north to learn more about this fantastic country. We learn from Aboriginal guides about the different tribes and ways of life that have existed for thousands of years! Our group then participates in an amazing community service project with local scientists and conservationists which brings them out to the Reef to learn more about coral bleaching, invasive species and what we can do to make an impact on the reef’s health. Heading inland our trip then takes us to the incredible Australian Outback! We learn about the native animals of the Aussie desert, visit a cattle station to learn about the cowboys of down under, and spend a night stargazing in this, the most remote part of our adventure.
THE TULLY RIVER, THE GREAT BARRIER REEF & DAINTREE RAINFOREST
Here in the northernmost part of our Australia’s Best adventure, we get a taste of tropical Queensland! From Cairns, we travel by boat to the outer Great Barrier Reef to some of the best snorkeling sites in Australia! Here we snorkel in and around coral reefs, swim with sea turtles and enjoy the beauty of one of the only living Natural Wonders of the World! After learning all about this complex ecosystem our groups head north of Cairns to the oldest continual rainforest on earth, Daintree National Park! Keep your eyes peeled for koalas, parrots, toucans, wallabies and much much more. Our trip wraps up with an amazing whitewater adventure on the Tully River! This is an action-packed way to end Bold Earth’s Australia’s Best trip!

Since at least 40,000 years BEFORE British settlement, Australia was inhabited by indigenous people scattered all across the vast continent.
