Hop onto your surf board in Sayulita, a PERFECT surfing village about 25 miles north of Puerto Vallarta in the state of Nayarit, Mexico. Home to one of the most famous wave breaks in all of México, Sayulita is the crown jewel of Mexican surfing. With average temperatures of 85° – Surf Camp is ten days of Pacific Ocean perfection! Enjoy surf lessons in the morning followed by snorkeling, paddle boarding, and plenty of beach time in the afternoon. The diverse activities and landscapes of Sayulita are the perfect starting point for Bold Earth’s Surf Camp!
Give Back & Community Service
Bold Earth take a short break from the beach life to spend a night near the authentic sleepy town of El Tuito. Campers spend a day working with locals planting a living fence, a reforestation effort and helping on a sustainable farm. This authentic project allows Bold Earth campers to connect to our location, learn and give back. The next day, campers hike to a beautiful overlook of El Tuito.
Mayto Turtle Camp
Returning to the beach, Bold Earth continues its daily surf lessons in the beach community of Mayto, Jalisco, where nature and Pacific beach comfort co-exist in harmony. More tropical than our other surf spots, and with diverse breaks, we camp at AMAZING Mayto which allows campers to advance and improve their surf skills steps from the break. During non-surfing time we’ll participate in our conservation project with turtles, play beach soccer, volleyball, explore a local cave, walk into town and live the tropical jungle beach life.
Our final night is spent at a hotel in Puerto Vallarta. The cobblestone streets of Old Vallarta welcome us to explore the Malecón, Puerto Vallarta’s half-mile promenade that lines the city’s historic center and waterfront, filled with spectacular sculptures and old Mexico charm. We’ll celebrate with a last night dinner on the beach and enjoy some time to shop.

Environmental Restoration: Surf Camp is an action packed trip – full of SURFING! But, as a core value, every Bold Earth trip includes a service project. Taking a few days-off from our surf lessons, Bold Earth Campers contribute on two different service projects. On the picture perfect beaches of Mayto, we’ll assist local sea turtle hatcheries. We also spend a day near the authentic sleepy town of El Tuito. Campers dedicate a day’s work to an environmental restoration project. Partnering with a local organization, campers help remove invasive plant species and plant trees. Located at an old dairy farm, campers work to reverse environmental degradation and increase the biodiversity at the old farm.
